A Day in the Life of a Sea-Goat

A rough start to the week for sure... It is not only Monday but it is also pouring rain making it only 300 times more difficult to get through the day. I have been MIA recently with my posts as I so fortunately contracted bronchitis BUT I am feeling much better so let us get right to it: I went on horoscope.com this morning and for my Monday this is what it gave me: A sense of duty toward family members, children, and your sweetheart may cause you to take on responsibilities today that you wouldn't normally assume. Sincere efforts on behalf of those you care about are likely to bring the results you want. It won't just make you happy but will also please those you are helping. This not only makes you feel appreciated, it will also boost your physical strength.  It is almost noon and I kind of think this horoscope might have some relevance today. To follow up on my last post... I actually did have a flash of inspiration during my seemingly routine day of babysitting... I had just put the baby down for a nap and I started watching a show on the Food Network called Halloween Wars. For those of you who don't know, it is a show about creating fun and scary (and exxtreeeemely impressive) Halloween through pumpkin carving, baking and sculpting. There are multiple teams and the one to produce the most captivating display each week goes on to a final round where the winning team is awarded a prize of $50,000 !!!!!! I was not inspired to attempt to be in such a competition or even anything remotely close, but I was motivated to go home and bake some Halloween themed cupcakes. Initially, at the end of my day I did not see me baking cupcakes as a result of a flash of inspiration but then I realized that is something I would have absolutely never done had I not watched Halloween Wars.
